Ghosts Down Sixshooters, 3-0
|
In a well-pitched game between the Casper Ghosts and the Westwood Sixshooters, pitcher Tom Hancock was superb. The Casper right-hander helped his team win, 3-0. Hancock, now 4-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 4, and allowing no runs. Corbin Dundee earned the save for Casper, his 10th.
Casper took a 3-0 lead on Israel Cruz's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Westwood pitcher Iukekini Kaliona in the bottom of the seventh.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Casper manager Burton Storey.
Casper has now won 3 in a row.
