Farmers Down Fur Traders, 3-1
|
The Lancaster Farmers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Aldo Buyse, who muffled the Tacoma offense en route to a tight 3-1 Farmers win at Ballpark of Tacoma. Buyse got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Buyse allowed 1 run. With the loss, Tacoma drops to 5-13.
Lancaster used the timely hitting of Brock Allen to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Farmers on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Not to be Captain Obvious," said Tacoma manager Gustavo Varela, "but we need to push more runs across the plate."
