Lancaster Beats Tacoma, 3-2

The Lancaster Farmers picked up a win at Ballpark of Tacoma, knocking off the Tacoma Fur Traders, 3-2. Starting pitcher Jop Abeele was an essential part of his team's success. The winning pitcher was Abeele, now 3-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Marty Bond closed the game out for Lancaster, earning his 1st save.
Lancaster used the bat of Andreas Boerboom to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Farmers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Lancaster manager Dave Davis.
With the loss, Tacoma falls to 5-12.
