Knights Tag Northern Lions BC with 7-0 Loss
|
The Kingston Township Knights stopped the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 7-0, at Great Northern Field. The Knights got a big game from Carlos Chávez, who went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kingston Township reliever Harry MacGruder picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Chris Jackson was tagged with the loss. At 51-57, the Knights claim 10th place in the Third League.
Jaicus Saracho, the 27-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Saracho contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Kingston Township up, 1-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Saracho said.
