5-2 Loss to Northern Lions BC Extends D.C. Losing Streak
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC topped the D.C. Divided, 5-2, in Menard's Third League action at Great Northern Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Thunder Bay pitcher Javier Gallardo. Gallardo went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-8. Mike Allen got credit for the save for Thunder Bay. It was his 15th of the year.

The Northern Lions BC got a big at-bat from third baseman António Cruz. For the game, Cruz was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 18th double of the season gave Thunder Bay a 4-2 lead.
