Grey Wolves Deal Bowties 9-0 Defeat
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Vancouver Grey Wolves and Buckhead Bowties.
The Vancouver Grey Wolves beat the Buckhead Bowties, 9-0. Vancouver pitcher and Los Angeles, California, native Todd Wallace led the way. Wallace got the win, improving to 6-6. He allowed 3 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Wallace allowed no runs.
Kuniyoshi Kodo, who finished 2nd in the 3L in OPS with 1.002 in 2048, chipped in for Vancouver with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 4 runs batted in.
Grey Wolves manager David Krause had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
The Grey Wolves are now 42-44, while the Bowties fall to 37-49.
