The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the D.C. Divided, 4-2, in Menard's Third League action at Washington Stadium. Thunder Bay pitcher Andrew Shoemaker had a standout performance. Jerry Sargent notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. The 10th-place Northern Lions BC have won 5 straight games.

Thunder Bay used a clutch hit from Alex Joly to get the win. The third baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 14th inning to put the Northern Lions BC ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
