Paul Haines never let the Bowties get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Battery to a win, 6-1. Haines, now 10-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Charleston, at 44-37, sits in 6th place in the Third League.

Chipping in for Charleston was right fielder Lang Ouyang. He stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Ouyang was 2-4 with a double.
