The Buckhead Bowties got a superb performance from third baseman Basilio Penni, but the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC still won the game, 7-3. Penni belted 2 home runs. Mike Allen was called on to finish, recording his 12th save. The 11th-place Bowties have dropped 4 straight games.

Steve Scott dealt the Bowties a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Thunder Bay leading 3-2, Scott, who finished 5th in the 3L in batting average with .349 in 2048, hit a 2-0 cutter for a 2-run triple.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Scott.
