Rogers Delivers Walk-Off Win for Knights
|
The Knights faced a stiff challenge from Detroit pitcher Carlos Sandoval, but persevered to claim a win at Cloverdale Legion Park. The final score was 2-1. Sandoval went 7 innings and allowed no runs. The winner was Kingston Township reliever James Callendar, now 1-1. The loser was James Spencer. Kingston Township is now 38-38.
The Knights procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Greg Rogers. In the bottom of the 15th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Feels good to get the job done," Rogers said after the game.
