Stingers Knock Off Grey Wolves at Pacesetter Park
|
Toledo starter Volmer Aalbers had a strong outing against the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Pacesetter Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Claude Richardson closed it out for his 19th save. The Stingers now own a record of 40-35.
Heikki Lahtela, who is on pace for 78 RBI this season, contributed to the Toledo win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
After the game, Toledo manager TJ Reynolds applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
