Mockingbirds Post 3-0 Win Over New Orleans
|
The Mississippi Mockingbirds beat the New Orleans Voodoo, 3-0. Mississippi pitcher and Tucurrique, Costa Rica, native Alfredo Rincón led the way. The win puts Mississippi at 5-2.
Amor Campos, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Campos contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Mississippi up, 2-0.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Mississippi skipper Beau Carsten. "I can't complain."
