The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC picked up a win at The Lighthouse, knocking off the Long Island Lighthouse, 6-4. Starting pitcher Miguel Pérez was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Pérez, now 3-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. The save was credited to Mike Allen, his 8th.

Thunder Bay used a well-timed hit by George Holmes to capture the win. The shortstop socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Northern Lions BC ahead, 6-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

When asked about his performance after the game, Holmes said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
