The Montana Pandas dealt the Detroit Elite a 5-4 loss at Panda Park. Dhataki Pummy was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs. Jim Hunter earned the save for Montana, his 5th. The first-place Pandas go to 34-22.

Pummy had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-1 sinker from Carlos Sandoval, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Pandas a 5-4 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Pummy.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Pummy said in reaction to the win.
