New Orleans left fielder Obke Veenman helped his team beat the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 5-2. Veenman, who leads the PL with a .611 slugging percentage, went 3 for 5 for the Voodoo. The winner was Young-jae Chong in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Peer Slooters took the loss. New Orleans is now 33-29, while San Mateo is 30-32.

New Orleans took the lead in the top of the seventh. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Anthony Roosemont stroked a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Voodoo.

"No time for flexing," said Veenman. "It's always one game at a time."
