Arntsen, Knights Too Much for Coeur
|
The Kingston Township Knights beat the St. Louis Coeur, 6-1, at The BFIB. Kingston Township catcher Layton Arntsen had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Kingston Township pitcher Nick Long got the win, upping his record to 3-3. David Hudson got the loss. Kingston Township is now 22-19, while St. Louis is 26-15.
Helping the Kingston Township cause was Jaicus Saracho. In the top of the fifth, the 27-year old center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly to make the score 3-1, Knights.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Arntsen told the Kingston Township Herald.
