Farmers Beat Polar Bears, 4-3
|
The Lancaster Farmers defeated the Billings Polar Bears, 4-3, in M3L Double A action at Farmers Field. Lancaster pitcher Ramón Pacheco had a standout performance. Pacheco, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks. Jorge Santos was credited with the save for Lancaster, his 2nd of the season.
Tyler Harris had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the third for Lancaster. With the bases loaded and the Farmers leading 1-0, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Billings skipper Craig Stewart.
Lancaster is now 3-0.
