The Tortolita Drummers topped the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-4, in USSL Triple A action at Drummers Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Tortolita pitcher Denzel Halford. The win belongs to Gabriel Leeds in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Paul Glover took the loss for Pennsauken. Marc Potts recorded the save, his 12th.
Tortolita took a 5-4 lead on Bill Webb's 21st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Webb hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Pennsauken pitcher Noah Blin visibly frustrated.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Webb.
Tortolita is in third place in the Silver AAA with a record of 57-45.
