The Salt Lake City Buzz defeated the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 6-5, in USSL Triple A action at Crane Field. Salt Lake City pitcher Mochihito Sato had a standout performance. Salt Lake City reliever Martín Cedeño picked up the win, upping his record to 3-7. Josh Rainey took the loss. The 5th-place Buzz have won 4 straight games.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Anthony Potter, hit a single. It helped Salt Lake City seize the win.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Salt Lake City manager Bobby Buck.
