Voodoo Earn 2-1 Win Versus Patriots
|
In a low-scoring game between New Orleans and Boston, pitcher Marty Taylor was excellent. The New Orleans left-hander helped his team knock off the Patriots, 2-1. Herman Stone picked up the win in relief for New Orleans, while Jorge Gil took the loss. New Orleans has 3 straight wins, Boston 3 straight losses.
Pancho Hernández was the walk-off hero for New Orleans. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Voodoo catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Hernández said in his postgame press conference.
