The Austin Black Mambas and Ft. Myers Marlins played an exciting game.
Austin picked up a win at Mamba Park, toppling the Ft. Myers Marlins, 4-2. Pitcher Lee tai hoi Chen was one of the reasons the Black Mambas triumphed. Chen picked up the win for Austin, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 8-8. Eric Ramírez got the save, the 22nd for him this season.
Leonardo Valdéz came through for Austin when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike splitter to center field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Lee tai hoi is still learning," said Black Mambas manager Mike Silver. "The sky's the limit for him."
Today's win puts Austin at 45-48, while Ft. Myers falls to 41-52.
