Tritons Edge Past Flyers, 2-1
|
Jersey City used a superb performance from starting pitcher Kent Woods to down the Pennsauken Flyers, 2-1. Jersey City bumps their record to 39-53 with the win.
Jersey City used the timely hitting of Chad Brown to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tritons on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We did just enough to win," Woods said.
