Austin catcher Paul Parker had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 6-5. Robinson Martínez earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 4-1. Eric Ramírez notched his 20th save in 23 chances.
Parker had a timely hit for Austin in the top of the eighth. With Santa Barbara trailing 5-3, he turned a 2-1 sinker into a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Austin.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Parker.
The 'W' lifts Austin's record to 42-46.
