The Salt Lake City Buzz got a superb performance from pitcher James Ellison, but the Austin Black Mambas still won the game, 4-2. Ellison threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The Black Mambas sit in 5th place in the Silver AAA with a record of 40-46.
Austin took a 4-1 lead on David Taylor's 1st triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Taylor hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Salt Lake City pitcher Iwan Vroom visibly frustrated.
Taylor attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
