Golden Cranes Stick Flyers with 6-5 Loss
Santa Barbara designated hitter Sergio Rivera had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-5. Alan Halsall notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. The 7th-place Golden Cranes are now 35-44, the Flyers 41-38.

Rivera contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Santa Barbara in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Rivera took a forkball from Claudio Cortés and stroked the home run to right. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Golden Cranes to leap in front, 3-1.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Pennsauken manager Carlos Vela. "The effort was great."
