Golden Cranes Fall Short, 5-4, at Salt Lake City
|
Nherbert Imperial was instrumental in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes. The catcher was 3-3 with 3 singles for the Salt Lake City Buzz. José Cantú earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Picking up the save was Martín Cedeño, his 14th.
Salt Lake City took a 5-4 lead on Bill Gatacre's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Gatacre hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Santa Barbara pitcher Jordan Murdoch shaking his head.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Santa Barbara manager Doug Green. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
Their 34-42 record puts the Buzz 6th in the Silver AAA.
