Golden Cranes Stick Drummers with 9-4 Loss
Santiago Harmon was a major factor in the 9-4 Santa Barbara win over Tortolita. The Golden Cranes first baseman was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Picking up the win was Larry Larsen. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 3. Mike Vanderbilt converted his 2nd save in 2 tries.

Tied up with the Drummers in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Golden Cranes got a boost from designated hitter Kwi-tae Im. With a runner on 2nd, Im saw a 2-1 fastball from Khoury Abdul-Rahim and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Santa Barbara on top, 3-2.

"It's good to win," Harmon told the Santa Barbara Bulletin. "I like to have fun doing it."
