Ron Mora pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Pennsauken Flyers, despite Mora's fine outing, dropped a 3-1 decision to the Milton Dogfish Head at Pennsauken Park. At 41-21, the Dogfish Head are currently first in the Silver AAA.
With runs few and far between, the Dogfish Head had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Milton came in the top of the fifth inning, when shortstop Ken Wright delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Ron Mora and made the score 1-0, Dogfish Head. Wright went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Glad to get this win," said Wright. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
