The Austin Black Mambas got a magnificent effort from pitcher Lee tai hoi Chen, who kept Tortolita hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Black Mambas win at Drummers Ballpark. Austin now owns a record of 22-25.
Tied up with the Drummers in the top of the fourth inning, the Black Mambas got a boost from left fielder Dave Reynolds. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Reynolds saw a 3-1 fastball from Khoury Abdul-Rahim and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Austin on top, 1-0.
"Lee tai hoi did a tremendous job," said Austin manager Mike Silver.
