Mockingbirds Fall Short at Buffalo, 2-1
|
Buffalo left-hander Rafael Trujillo helped his team edge Mississippi by the score of 2-1. Trujillo kept the opposing lineup in check. Mario Rosales, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Buffalo is now 29-25, Mississippi 31-23.
Emílio Pueblo, who is tied for 7th in the PL in doubles with 13, aided the Buffalo cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 3 with a double.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Mississippi manager Beau Carsten.
