Méndez Too Much for Pajaritos in 2-0 Sunset District Win
Sunset District starter Ricardo Méndez had a strong outing against the Norfolk Pajaritos at Norfolk Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-0 win. Sunset District, now 18-14, holds down 4th place in the Silver AAA.

Méndez earned the win to move to 2-2. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 1 hits, striking out 9 and walking 1. The right-hander allowed the Pajaritos few scoring opportunities.

"Ricardo had swing-and-miss stuff," said Sunset District manager Luis Ríos.
