Golden Cranes Snatch Late Win

Santa Barbara and Jersey City got after it at Crane Field.
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes picked up a win at Crane Field, taking down the Jersey City Tritons, 6-1. Starting pitcher Larry Larsen was a big reason why. The winner was Bryan Griffin in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Chet Goode took the loss.
In the bottom of the eighth, Santa Barbara third baseman Robbie Fisher hit a two-strike fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It put the Golden Cranes up, 2-1.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Fisher.
Santa Barbara is now 13-14, Jersey City 9-18.
