Walker 3-4 in Flyers Win
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Salt Lake City Buzz.
Pennsauken designated hitter Tim Walker played a vital role in his team's 10-4 triumph over Salt Lake City. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Pennsauken. Pennsauken reliever Zach Thompson picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. James Ellison was tagged with the loss.
Walker contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Pennsauken in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Walker took a knuckle curve from James Ellison and stroked the double to left. His 4th double of the season allowed the Flyers to leap in front, 5-4.
"Feels good to get the job done," Walker said after the game.
Pennsauken has 3 straight wins, Salt Lake City 15 straight losses.
