Fog Lose Again, 4-0, to Buzz
|
Jorge Valdéz never let the Fog get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Buzz to a win, 4-0. Valdéz picked up the win for Salt Lake City, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Dave Davis nailed down his 1st save.
Salt Lake City relied on the hitting of Doug Randall to pick up the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Buzz on top, 1-0. For the game, Randall had 1 triple and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Randall told the Salt Lake City Times.
Sunset District is 2-6 after the defeat.
