Reserves Deal Starks 6-4 Setback
The Athletic Club KC Reserves picked up a win at KC Reserve Stadium, knocking off the Syracuse Starks, 6-4. Starting pitcher Bruce Viera was a big reason why. Horace Smith was called on to finish, recording his 7th save. Athletic Club KC is last in the Premier AAA with a record of 46-56.

In the bottom of the first, the Reserves took a 2-0 lead when Gary Bly drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Viera. "Successful pitchers do it."
