Hops Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
The Barton Springs Blues got a magnificent performance from pitcher Quinton Lee, who stifled the Yakima offense en route to a 3-1 Blues win at Hops Park. Lee got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. Lee allowed 1 run. Yakima now is 2-1.
Barton Springs third baseman Kuniyuki Sato produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the ninth with Thomas Brown on the mound and Barton Springs leading 2-1. Sato drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Lee said.
