Carlos Rosales made an impact in the 9-5 Sacramento win over Syracuse. Rosales, who is tied for 8th in the PAAA in triples with 4, was 2 for 6 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The winner was Sacramento reliever Félix Hernández, now 8-5. The loser was Bryce Poindexter. Sacramento goes to 48-48, Syracuse to 50-46.

Rosales had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 1-1 fastball from Bryce Poindexter, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Redlegs a 9-5 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Rosales.

In postgame comments, Rosales said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
