Redlegs Pull Even With 4-1 Victory
Sacramento starter Johnny Jones put a stranglehold on the Syracuse offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Redlegs to a 4-1 win. With the victory, the Redlegs upped their record to 47-47.

Sacramento used a well-timed hit by Edward Panther to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Panther said.
