Nobles Deal Starks 4-3 Defeat
|
The Bakersfield Nobles topped the Syracuse Starks, 4-3, in USPL Triple A action at Jerome Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Bakersfield pitcher and San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, native Jorge Enríquez. The 'W' lifts Bakersfield's record to 56-34.
Bakersfield took a 4-3 lead on Gavin Okel's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Syracuse pitcher Joel Baxter in the bottom of the seventh.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Bakersfield manager Jesús Román.
