Baton Rouge pitcher Kane Hallworth did his part in helping his team beat the Hialeah Dodos, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Brass now have a record of 48-41 with the win over Hialeah.
Had Tagashashi Inoue not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Inoue hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Brass.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Hialeah manager Billy Strauss, "let me know."
