Baton Rouge left fielder Tagashashi Inoue had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to Syracuse at The Zoo in Syracuse. Inoue went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Syracuse now sits in third place in the Premier AAA at 44-42.

Syracuse won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Young-jae Chong on the mound for Baton Rouge, designated hitter Shan Gui hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Squirrel Monkeys fans to their feet.

Gui offered a curt "no comment" when asked to discuss the win after the game.
