The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys downed the Hialeah Dodos, 4-2. The hitting star was right fielder Martín Pliego. Pliego was 4-4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Squirrel Monkeys. Syracuse starter Hunter Kirkland was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 3-6. Bryce Poindexter nailed down his 2nd save.
