The Hialeah Dodos got a stellar performance from pitcher William Gordon, who handcuffed the Monongahela offense en route to a win, 7-2, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The winning pitcher was Gordon, now 4-5. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. With the win, Hialeah upped its record to 38-36.
Hialeah used the bat of Ronald Dacanay to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Dodos ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Dacanay.
