Dodos Down Monsters, 5-3
|
The Hialeah Dodos picked up a win at Timber Hawks Ballpark, taking down the Monongahela Monsters, 5-3. Starting pitcher Ales Kretky was a big reason why. Yu-eh Wang came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. With the win, the Dodos improved to 37-36.
This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the 13th, George McLean hit a sacrifice fly. The Dodos took the lead, 4-3.
"We had a good game plan," Kretky said, "and we were able to execute it."
