Starks Saddle Dodos with 6-3 Loss
|
Syracuse starter Jake Mitchell had a strong outing against the Hialeah Dodos at Stark Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Xin-fang Zha, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. Isaac Patterson converted his 6th save in 6 tries.
Syracuse grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Zee-loo Situ delivered a bases-clearing double, to make it 6-3 in favor of the Starks.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Situ.
With the win, Syracuse has a record of 27-42. Hialeah falls to 35-34.
