Sacramento used a superb performance from starting pitcher Gunnar Quinn to down the Baton Rouge Brass, 3-0. In 5.2 innings, Quinn surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Félix Hernández closed it out for his 10th save.

Da-xia Hui hit a run-scoring triple off Kane Hallworth in the bottom of the third, which put the Redlegs in front, 1-0. Hui had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"What we get, we earn," Hui told the Sacramento Daily News.

The Redlegs raised their record to 32-36.
