The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys picked up a win at The Zoo in Syracuse, knocking off the Monongahela Monsters, 5-0. On the mound for Syracuse was left-hander Eduardo Martínez, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the victory, the Squirrel Monkeys upped their record to 34-33.

Martínez was in the zone all game. He frustrated Monongahela hitters while giving the Squirrel Monkeys 6.2 innings of quality work. Martínez threw 70 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 5 punchouts.

"I really like what we did out there today," Martínez said after the game.
