Nobles Knock Off Redlegs at Jerome Grounds

The Bakersfield Nobles got a stellar performance from pitcher Jason Miller, who handcuffed the Sacramento offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Jerome Grounds. Miller got the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Miller allowed 1 run. Picking up the save was Juichi Kanno, his 4th.
António Vega, the Bakersfield shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 2-1, Nobles. For the game, Vega was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Vega.
The second-place Nobles have a record of 36-28.
