The Monongahela Monsters and Baton Rouge Brass provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Monongahela Monsters got a sterling performance from pitcher Jack Herer, but the Baton Rouge Brass still prevailed, 3-2. Herer threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win belongs to Shintaro Oyama in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Luis Boll took the loss for Monongahela.

Ben Walters was the walk-off hero for Baton Rouge. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Brass first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Baton Rouge manager Daniel Edwards.

The win gives Baton Rouge a season record of 35-23.
