de Ruijter Sensational for Pride
|
Hartford starter Lando de Ruijter put a stranglehold on the Port Royal offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Pride to a 4-0 win. Carlos Rodríguez locked down his 11th save. The Pride have a winning streak of 4 games.
de Ruijter imposed his will on the Disaster, scattering 5 hits over 8 innings while striking out 9. The left-hander upped his season record to 7-10.
"Lando -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Pride manager Howard Dale. "He was the key to us winning."
